Minister Of Home Affairs To Acting Governor Of Aceh Major General Purn Achmad Marzuki: Correct Focus On Education And Health So That Aceh Has Good Human Resources

BANDA ACEH - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian asked the Acting Governor of Aceh Major General Purn Achmad Marzuki to focus more on education and health programs to handling COVID-19.

"The focus is really on education and health programs so that the Acehnese people have educated, trained, skilled and healthy human resources," said Tito Karnavian at the inauguration of Acting Governor of Aceh Achmad Marzuki, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 6.

Tito said that as the representative of the central government in Aceh, he hoped that Achmad Marzuki would be able to coordinate activities that are in line with national, provincial and regional development programs throughout Aceh.

Tito said the Acting Governor of Aceh must build positive relationships with all stakeholders including the Wali Nanggroe Aceh, the Syar'iah Court, DPRA, Forkopimda and all community leaders, especially religious scholars, traditional leaders, youth, women.

Tito also advised the Acting Governor of Aceh to prioritize the program for handling the COVID-19 pandemic, which, although it has been sloping, has not stopped.

"Post-pandemic economic recovery, accelerating the realization of effective, efficient and targeted spending, reviving MSMEs, including by using domestic production, and reducing poverty and others," he said.

Tito said, Aceh is indeed a province rich in natural resources, but what is more important is building Acehnese human resources that are superior, creative and innovative so that the capital wealth of natural resources provides benefits that are truly felt by the people of Aceh.

According to Tito, Major General Purn Achmad Marzuki's status as a bureaucrat has its own advantages, namely being able to take a neutral position because he does not come from a particular party.

This position can make Marzuki build good communication with all parties, both political parties and regional heads of districts/cities throughout Aceh who come from party circles.

His experience of duty as a former Commander of the Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command has provided knowledge and experience about the unique situation and characteristics of Aceh, so that he can make appropriate policies and steps according to the challenges and problems of accelerating development in Aceh.

"Let's maintain a conducive security situation and we all continue to pray that it will continue to be conducive, because security stability is one of the important assets for accelerating development in Aceh," said Tito Karnavian.
