JAKARTA - The Golkar Party responded to the invitation of the Democratic Party to build a coalition and leave the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). The chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Ace Hasan Syadzily emphasized that it would be impossible if his party left KIB and built a new coalition together with the Democrats.

"I think it is impossible for us to build our own coalition with the Democrats by leaving the KIB which was initiated with the three parties," said Ace to reporters, Wednesday, July 6. "The United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) has consolidated massively down to the grassroots. We, the Golkar Party, PAN and PPP, are getting stronger in the regions.
