Minister Of Religion: Pilgrims Of Hajj Candidates Will Be Reimbursed With 15 Riyals For Stale Food

MEKKAH - Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas confirmed that pilgrims will get a replacement meal if the food provided is stale or will be replaced with 15 Saudi Riyals worth of money.

"Whatever the reason, if they don't eat, they must be replaced. If they don't have time to cook again, they will be replaced with 15 Riyals or brewed noodles of that value," said the Minister of Religion at the coordination meeting for the 1443 H/2022 M Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca as reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 5 .

In a meeting with the Amirul Hajj team and the Hajj supervisory team, the Minister of Religion said that every food given has a validity period, for example breakfast can be eaten until 09.00, lunch until 17.00 and dinner until 23.00.

"There is a congregation who eats late, because the food has an expiration date that has been determined, maybe he has not had time to go to the mosque to eat so the food is stale," said the Minister of Religion.

The Minister of Religion said that there is a difference in the consumption service for this year's Hajj season compared to the previous one, because pilgrims get three meals while previously only two.

In Medina, pilgrims get 27 meals for nine days, then for 25 days in Mecca they get 75 meals.

Consumption services at the hotel will stop on 7 Dzulhijjah or 6 July 2022 and worshipers will receive dining services at Armuzna. During Masyair's time at Arafah, Muzdhalifah and Mina, pilgrims get 16 meals and one meal at the airport.

So far, the food menu provided for the congregation is in accordance with the taste of the archipelago, consisting of rice, side dishes and vegetables as well as fruit and mineral water.
