Police Are Looking For A Motorbike Rider Who Left His Friend's Body On The Cakung Flyover After Being Involved In An Accident

JAKARTA - The Cakung Police and the East Jakarta Metro Police Satlantas are still searching for the motorcyclist who is suspected of leaving his friend's body on the sidewalk near the Cakung flyover, East Jakarta, last Friday, July 1.

Cakung Police Chief Kompol Syarifah Chaira confirmed that the victim died on the spot after the accident.

"The person carrying the motorbike fell with the victim. Maybe after seeing the victim not moving anymore, the motorcyclist finally left the victim lying down," said Kompol Syarifah when confirmed, Tuesday, July 5.

Kompol Syarifah said the man who was found dead on the sidewalk near the Cakung flyover was the victim of an accident. The victim was first discovered by local residents on Friday at around 23.00 WIB.

"When the vehicle fell, the motorcyclist got up and left the victim at the scene," he said.

As a result of the accident, the victim suffered injuries to the legs and face. The victim died at the scene and was taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Central Jakarta.

"There are abrasions on the legs, abrasions on the cheeks, they have been taken to the RSCM. The victim is still being investigated (for his identity) around the age of 20," he said.

The accident case is still being handled by joint officers from the Cakung Police and the East Jakarta Metro Police Satlantas.
