JAKARTA - The head of RT 07/01, Rawa Terate Village, Cakung, Susilowati, said that the 40-centimeter-wide canal was repaired because the RW 01 area was often flooded when it rained. "If it's here, my own area often floods, but if it doesn't rain, it's still clogged," he said when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, July 5. The area is often flooded due to clogged drains. Thus, water cannot flow through the existing channels. The channel repair work was also carried out by the relevant Department. "Repairs due to clogged drains. Manual (excavation)," he said. Susilowati said that if there was a flood, it would be fatal in the surrounding area. "Flood overflows from the river connection to Pulogadung. Yes (Pulogadung river).
