JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria promised to find a solution for Amran and his wife who were threatened with being forcibly evicted from Rusunawa Jatinegara Barat. AM was asked to leave the flat as a result of the baby dumping case by his daughter.

"In principle, we will find the best solution for the benefit of all, for their children, their families, and the community in the flat," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, July 4.

Riza confirmed that the case of dumping a baby by a female student who is Amran's daughter violates the rules in DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 111 of 2014 concerning the Occupancy Mechanism of Simple Rent Flats.

The legal basis for the termination of this lease refers to Article 5 of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 111 of 2014 which states that the residents of the Flats are obliged to obey the regulations and maintain environmental order.

Therefore, Riza views that Amran and his wife who is now taking care of his grandson cannot also be punished, even though his son has now been detained by the police.

"Indeed, according to the rules and regulations, the family there must leave (from Rusunawa). However, this is because of the humanitarian element, we are looking for the best solution. Because the child is guilty, the child has already been punished. Is it true that one family should receive punishment? between regulations, rules, and elements of humanity, we are looking for the best solution for all," he explained.

Amran, a resident of Kampung Pulo, a victim of eviction by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government 7 years ago, demands justice for his place of residence from the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

Amran and his family who have occupied a residential unit at Rusunawa Jatinegara Barat Tower A, 8th Floor, No. 802, RT 002/009, Kampung Melayu Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, is in danger of being forcibly evicted by the UPRS (one apartment management unit) Rusunawa Jatinegara Barat.

The UPRS argued that Amran's daughter, whose initials were MS, was involved in a legal dispute over the disposal of the baby in the Ciliwung River area, Jalan Inspeksi Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta last Wednesday, June 1.

Amran was surprised at the attitude of UPRS. Apart from the problem with his daughter, who has the initials MS, even though she is a victim of eviction by the DKI Provincial Government who is placed in Rusunawa. Moreover, at this time the effects of the pandemic are still being felt, the economic impact is still being experienced by Amran and his family.

"Our burden is very heavy, while our grandson (MS child with the initials NA (1 month)) is still in the recovery stage of healing from the Police Hospital," he explained.

The UPRS also told Amran that his family must immediately leave the rusunawa residence until the deadline of 15 July. Later, residential units will be proposed to residents whose origins are not clear.

"I hope that the governor can decide the problems for me and my family, wisely and wisely. Because the governor really wants the citizens of Jakarta to progress and make their citizens happy. We want to be happy. Don't take away our happiness as a small community," he hoped.
