MAKASSAR - President Joko Widodo's sacrificial cow which was purchased from a farmer from Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, to be transported and slaughtered in Selayar Islands Regency during Eid al-Adha 1443 H, weighs 1,006 kg.

Head of the Livestock Service Office of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, Nurlina Saking, said that President Jokowi's limousine-type beef would be slaughtered and the meat distributed to the public.

"President Joko Widodo's cows will be transported from Bone to Selayar, Thursday (7/7). We will also monitor it to the destination area," he said as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 4.

For the delivery process, he said, he hoped it would run smoothly even though he had to go by land and sea to get to the Selayar Islands.

The limousine was purchased in Bone Regency at a price of around Rp. 77 million. "The Selayar Regency Government will take it and bring it to its area," he said.

Regarding the breeding of limousine cattle in South Sulawesi, he admitted that almost all districts and cities have implemented the concept of people's livestock.

Previously, the Implementation Team of the UPTD Livestock Breeding and Forage Animal Feed (PTHPT) of the South Sulawesi Livestock Service, Zet Pasino in Makassar, Thursday, said the development of limousine and simenal cattle was focused on the five areas, namely Takalar, Enrekang, Soppeng, Sinjai and Bulukumba regencies.

His party is still focused on the area because of the readiness of human resources (HR), namely embryo transfer (TE) implementers who are already available.

"We only receive embryos from the Cipelang Embryo Transfer Center and we apply them to the field. For now, we are still focused on those five areas," he said.
