JAKARTA - After being named a suspect, a student with the initials HFR (23) who abused Polantas members under the Kampung Melayu flyover, East Jakarta some time ago, was finally released.

The woman who fought back when stopped by the police for violating the traffic, had reconciled with the victim. The East Jakarta Metro Police, which handled the case, took restorative justice steps.

"I apologize to Pak Rano for my mistake by scratching you and biting you until you want to take your weapon. I hope you forgive me and I promise not to do it again," said HFR in a low tone while shedding tears, Monday, July 4 .

The HFR suspect has apologized in front of the victim, Iptu Rano and the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budi Sartono. Hearing the perpetrator's apology, the victim, Iptu Rano, forgave him.

"Regarding the incident in Kampung Melayu, I have given advice and advice not to repeat what happened to him. Personally, Alhamdulillah, I can understand the person concerned," said the victim, Iptu Rano.

Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budi Sartono, emphasized that the East Jakarta Metro Police carried out restorative justice for the settlement.

"We see that the person concerned has a long career, after mediation between the victim and the suspect occurs, we carry out restorative justice, namely the settlement without going through a court," said Kombes Budi.

Kombes Budi explained that restorative justice steps can be taken if the victim forgives and accepts.

"Our members have accepted and the suspect has admitted and regrets that he will not do it again," he explained.

Previously, it was reported that a student motorcyclist was involved in an argument against the police because they did not accept being taken action against traffic flow under the Kampung Melayu Flyover, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday, June 30.

Suddenly, the incident caught the attention of residents and other motorists passing by the location. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist continued to defend himself by arguing with the police.

"I know the officers, don't want to win alone," said the woman riding the motorbike at the location. The woman with the initials HFR (23) kept cursing at the police because she couldn't accept being reprimanded for fighting the current from Jatinegara to Tebet, South Jakarta. The student also kicked her. , hit and bit the officer's right hand.

As a result, officers were injured. In fact, the student had hit the officer and tried to grab a police weapon.
