Tjahjo Kumolo Dies, Senior PDIP Politician: Fatigue To Severe Complications

JAKARTA - Minister for Administrative Reform Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN RB), Tjahjo Kumolo, will be buried at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP) this afternoon. The body was immediately dispatched to the Kalibata TMP after praying at the Quba Mosque, KemenPAN-RB.

Tjahjo died after undergoing intensive treatment at the Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Jakarta at 11.10 WIB.

Prior to being hospitalized, senior PDIP politician Hendrawan Supratikno said that Tjahjo Kumolo had taken an official trip abroad. He suspected that the trip had made Tjahjo exhausted.

"We heard that we had a long trip abroad, from Georgia. The main factor was fatigue and exhaustion," said Hendrawan when confirmed, Friday, July 1.

Hendrawan said Tjahjo was previously suspected of having diabetes and a lung infection. This disease, he said, had been suffered before Tjahjo traveled abroad.

"There is a lung infection, sugar," explained Hendrawan.

However, according to Hendrawan, the fatigue had an impact on Tjahjo's health. Because, he said, Tjahjo's illness got worse when he returned from abroad.

"When people are sick, a number of organs do not function properly, eventually serious complications," said Hendrawan.

The member of Commission IX of the DPR admitted that he had visited Tjahjo while being treated. Hendrawan said, Tjahjo received very intensive treatment before he finally died.
