JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 78,690 specimens were examined with the results of 2,049 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,090,509 people and active cases have increased by 125 to 16,915 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, July 1.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,921 cases, bringing the total to 5,916,854 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that 3 died and a total of 156,740 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,100 cases and a total of 1,270,845 cases. Followed by West Java with 430 new cases with a total of 1,112,617 cases. Banten has 241 new cases and a total of 297,358 cases. Then, East Java with 107 new cases and a total of 578,195 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,177 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 372 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 168 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 97 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 100,899,655.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.35 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,714 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,534,795 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,071,865. people underwent a second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 50,746,531. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
