Build The 2024 Coalition, Gerindra And PKB Strengthen Consolidation Of Party Structures In The Regions

The Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB) held another meeting called the National Gathering, Thursday, June 30, 2022

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party DPP and PKB DPP held a national gathering in Jakarta, Thursday night, to familiarize party structures at the regional level.

"This national gathering is a continuation of the meeting between Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto and PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar some time ago at Kertanegara Number 4 (Prabowo's residence)," said Gerindra Secretary General Ahmad Muzani, Thursday, June 30.

Muzani explained that the purpose of the gathering was to familiarize the structures of the two parties at the provincial and district/city levels. Therefore, the meeting brought together the leaders of the Gerindra Party DPD and PKB DPW leaders throughout Indonesia.

"Leaders of the party center facilitate and deliver everything, get to know each other, and joke around. Henceforth, they are in their respective areas to conduct friendships," he said.

Muzani assesses that each party equates perceptions with each other because they feel they can be friends and are enthusiastic about looking at the 2024 Election.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the PKB DPP Jazilul Fawaid said that the two parties had just started a coalition and political cooperation to face the 2024 general election.

The cooperation, he said, began with a meeting between Prabowo and Muhaimin, continued between the DPP administrators, and currently between the regional administrators of each party.

"If you mention a coalition, of course in the end you want to win. This is a forum for friendship, yes, in politics it's called a coalition," he said, quoted by Antara.

Jazilul is optimistic that other parties will join the coalition called the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition.

Present at the meeting, among others, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani, Gerindra Party Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, as well as two general vice chairmen Sugiono and Habiburokhman.

Meanwhile, from the PKB in attendance, among others, Deputy General Chairperson Jazilul Fawaid, PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid, and two PKB DPP heads Faisol Riza and Syaiful Huda.
