JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Pratikno tested the Garuda Kencana Tram Mover made by PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta.

"One of the 'smart' (smart) trains is the Garuda Kencana train which describes 'smart', 'green' (environmentally friendly), as well as inclusive when everyone can use it," said Pratikno at TMII, East Jakarta, Thursday 30 June. from Between.

Pratikno assessed that the presence of the two units of the Garuda Kencana Tram Mover train was a form of using emission-free transportation in tourist destinations in line with the objectives of holding the 2022 G20 Indonesia Presidency.

The two Tram Mover units, named Garuda Kencana, were previously sent from Madiun, East Java by land and arrived at TMII, on Tuesday (21/6).

In the future, Garuda Kencana will replace the previous mode of transportation, namely the Titihan Samirono wind-powered flyover (aeromovel).

The Tram Mover operates through an operation control center (OCC) system and has autonomous technology and has artificial intelligence (AI) capable of explaining tourist information in TMII.

Garuda Kencana is square in shape with wide glass walls, making it easier for passengers to enjoy the view of TMII from above.

In addition, the train has a minimalist and modern design that is embellished with the dominance of an elegant red color.

The interior is equipped with two comfortable circular chairs for visitors. Each carriage can accommodate a capacity of 10 people.

Previously, this Tram Mover had carried out a pre-trial process which included checking supporting facilities and infrastructure which included track preparation, stations, maintenance facilities, charging batteries, and an Operation Control Center (OCC). .

In addition, the Ministry of Transportation also carried out a feasibility certification on the conformity of the specifications for the existing facilities and infrastructure.

President Director of PT INKA Budi Noviantoro said that later there would be five Garuda Kencana units sent to TMII.

Currently, only two units have been completed and tested. Garuda Kencana is produced by the nation's children.

"We really design this, we produce it. If we talk about it, it's 100 percent actually because all of these are produced in Indonesia. Indeed, there are 'chips' that we have not been able to make, so we have to come from outside. But all the processes and production are carried out by PT. INKA," said Budi.
