Abrasion that occurred in the coastal area of Bitung Village and Uwuran Satu Village in the Amurang District on June 15, 2022 caused damage to residents' houses within a radius of 20 meters from the beach.

Apart from causing damage to houses, abrasion also causes damage to bridges, roads, and places of business.

A total of 127 families consisting of 387 residents whose houses were damaged by abrasion in the coastal area of Amurang are still living in the refugee camps.
