If There Is Tax Evasion, The DPRD Asks The DKI Provincial Government To Report Holywings To The Police

JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wahyu Dewanto, asked the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) to examine all tax receipts paid by Holywings.

Because, it was recently revealed that Holywings only has a restaurant license. Meanwhile, they do not have a bar (entertainment) business license because they do not have a certificate for serving alcoholic beverages on site.

This was conveyed by Wahyu in a working meeting that brought together the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government and the management of Holywings.

"Mr (Bapenda) must check the issue of tax receipts that have been submitted so far. Are the alcohols reported or not, or only sweet iced tea and fried rice," said Wahyu at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, June 29.

In fact, restaurant and entertainment business licenses have different tax payments for alcoholic beverages. This is because restaurants only need to pay a 10 percent tax on the sale of alcoholic beverages, while entertainment venues have to pay a 25 percent tax.

Because of this, Wahyu suspects that Holywings has deliberately evaded tax in order to reduce the costs they incur for tax payments to the government. If it is true that there is tax evasion, Wahyu also asks the DKI Provincial Government to report this to the police.

"If indeed the licensing that is being handled is only for restaurants, and special permits for both serving alcoholic beverages on the spot and take-away and it's not taken care of, we ask Bapenda to make a police report," said Wahyu.

In response to this, the Head of Tax Revenue II of the DKI Jakarta Bapenda, Carto said that his party would examine tax receipts related to business license violations and Holywings routine tax receipts.

"There are two points that we check, namely the setma (time deposit) until June and the setma for closing. And there was no deposit in June because it had not yet matured. Meanwhile, during this closing session, we will examine all receipts made by Holywings, " said Carto.
