BANDA ACEH - The General Election Commission (KPU) has scheduled the recruitment of members of an ad hoc institution consisting of the District Election Committee (PPK) and the Voting Committee (PPS) in October 2022.
"The recruitment of PPK and PPS is scheduled for October 2022. The recruitment and training process is planned to last three months," said KPU member Idham Holik in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 29.
PPK and PPS are ad hoc election organizers. PPK is in charge at the sub-district level and PPS is the implementer at the village or gampong level. PPK consists of five people and PPS as many as three people.
Idham Holik said that the recruited PPK and PPS were expected to be able to work in mid-January 2023. Moreover, at that time the election stage had entered the updating of temporary voter data.
"Updating the voter data is a crucial stage because the KPU as the election organizer does not want people to lose their right to vote at the five-year democratic party," said Idham Holik.
Regarding the technical recruitment of PPK and PPS, Idham Holik said his party would convey it to all levels of the KPU or KIP in Aceh, both provincial and city districts.
"We are also coordinating with provincial and city district KIPs in Aceh regarding the establishment of ad hoc institutions and other problems faced in the implementation of the election stages in the area," said Idham Holik.
