Tomorrow's Pilkades Simultaneously In Temanggung, 1,601 Security Forces Are Deployed

TEMANGGUNG - A total of 1,601 personnel were deployed to secure the simultaneous village head elections (pilkades) in 37 villages in Temanggung Regency, Central Java on July 30, 2022.

Temanggung Police Chief AKBP Agus Puryadi in Temanggung, Wednesday, said the officers consisted of 386 Polri personnel, 105 TNI personnel, and 1,110 Linmas personnel.

Special Police personnel, he said, consisted of 45 Brimob personnel from the Central Java Police, 20 Jatanras personnel from the Central Java Police, 31 Dalmas personnel from the Wonosobo Police, and 290 personnel from the Temanggung Police.

Agus Puryadi said that the task of the security forces is to protect the village-level democratic party.

"Residents must receive security guarantees during the democratic party. After this apple, personnel will be immediately placed in their respective task areas," he said at the Temanggung Police Station, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, June 29.

The Deputy Regent of Temanggung Heri Ibnu Wibowo, while leading the village election security meeting, said that in essence the security of the village head election was an activity directed at several aspects, including aspects of service, protection, and community protection.

Then, he said, aspects of security, order, and the smooth implementation of the Pilkades itself include compliance and obedience to the applicable rules.

Meanwhile, other aspects of security and social order disturbances, he explained, include natural disasters, violations of local regulations, and the COVID-19 outbreak, which is still happening. Aspects of crime, be it traditional, conventional, and transnational crimes, such as theft, vandalism, counterfeiting, fights, demonstrations, and bomb terrors.

He conveyed that in order for the election to be carried out optimally, cooperation between the TNI/Polri, cross-sectoral, relevant agencies along with elements of the village head candidate was required to form a unified and resilient unit with the goal of keeping Temanggung safe, orderly, and smooth without any disturbances or obstacles.
