Iwan Bule Nyagub Stickers In West Java 2024 Circulate, Gerindra Is Not Yet Interested

JAKARTA - The name of PSSI General Chair Mochammad Iriawan alias Iwan Bule, has become a conversation among politicians because it is rumored that he wants to run as a candidate for Governor of West Java in the 2024 simultaneous regional elections.

In response to this information, the Gerindra Party stated that it is not yet interested in carrying Iwan Bule to fight in the 2024 West Java Pilkada. The reason is that Prabowo Subianto's party is currently focusing on preparing for the national working meeting (Rakernas) which is planned to be held in August.

"I think we haven't talked about the election yet. The Gerindra Party is currently busy with internal consolidation and we will soon have an agenda to hold a national working meeting to determine the presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party," said Gerindra DPP Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco at the Parliament Complex , Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 29.

"After that, we will discuss the regional elections which also coincide with the time of year with the legislative and presidential elections," he continued.

The deputy chairman of the DPR said that the National Working Meeting would later declare Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate if the defense minister was ready to run in the 2024 presidential election.

"In that case, we will ask for an answer from Pak Prabowo to ask Gerindra to be ready to go forward," Dasco explained.

Meanwhile, regarding Iwan Bule, Dasco said his party had not paid attention. Gerindra, he said, certainly welcomes potential names who want to run as candidates for regional heads.

"While we haven't monitored it yet, but which candidate we want to endorse, we welcome it and of course there is a mechanism in the party," he concluded.

Previously, a sticker of PSSI General Chair Mochammad Iriawan, alias Iwan Bule as Governor of West Java in 2024, was circulated which was found in an angkot and went viral on social media. And there are symbols and inscriptions of organda allegedly the party who made it.

However, the news that he wanted to run as a candidate for governor of West Java in 2024 was directly denied by Iwan. Iwan Bule emphasized that he did not know who made the poster.
