Baby's Body Found Rotting In Denpasar Sewer, Maggots Found In His Body

DENPASAR - South Denpasar Police, Bali, investigated the finding of a baby girl's body in a ditch on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai.

"We are still investigating and are still looking for witnesses. Later we will check CCTV around there if it was dumped there at the location. However, it is also possible that this baby was swept away by the river, but we are still looking for witnesses," said South Denpasar Police Chief Commissioner I Made Teja Dwi Permana, Wednesday, June 29.

The baby's body was found by residents at around 18.00 WITA, Tuesday, June 28.

"It is true that the baby is a girl in a dead condition, then the witness informed the residents around the location and contacted the police," he added.

The baby's body was found in a decomposed state. There are maggots on his body.

This finding was followed up with the Denpasar Police identification team. The crime scene (TKP) has been carried out.

"Already dead, the body has decomposed and maggots were found in the navel and head. At 19.50 WITA, the baby's body was taken to Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar, using an ambulance belonging to the Denpasar City BPBD," said Commissioner Teja Dwi.
