JAKARTA - The National Social Security Council (DJSN) is holding a trial of the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) policy in government-owned vertical hospital facilities starting in July 2022.

"For July, trials will be conducted in several vertical hospitals under the Ministry of Health," said Member of the National Social Security Council (DJSN) Muttaqien as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 28.

Currently, there are 33 vertical hospitals under the authority of the Ministry of Health, including H. Adam Malik Hospital, National Stroke Hospital, Dr. Central General Hospital. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, Fatmawati Hospital, Drug Addiction Hospital, Friendship Hospital.

National Brain Center Hospital, Sanglah Hospital, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Harapan Kita Children and Mother Hospital, Harapan Kita Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital, Prof. Infectious Disease Hospital. Dr. Sulianti Saroso, Central General Hospital Dr. Hasan Sadikin.

However, Muttaqien has not specifically explained the government vertical hospital in question.

"At the present stage, the Ministry of Health, DJSN and BPJS Health are finalizing the trial designs and are preparing several hospitals that will be used as test sites. The designs prepared include one inpatient room which will accommodate a maximum of four patients," said Muttaqien.

He said the trial was important to ensure changes in the JKN ecosystem and to encourage sustainable health programs, improve service quality and achieve equity.

Regarding the adjustment of the amount of contributions, said Muttaqien, it is still in the calculation stage which is adjusted to the people's ability to pay and considers the sustainability of the Health Social Security Fund (DJS).

"As long as there are no changes to the revised Presidential Regulation 82 of 2018 concerning Health Insurance, the contributions are still in accordance with Presidential Decree 64 of 2020 as well as the current amount of contributions. There has not been any change regarding the amount of contributions," he said.

Previously, the temporary substitute official (Pps) for the Head of Public Relations (Humas) of BPJS Kesehatan, Arif Budiman, said the trial was carried out in less than ten hospitals belonging to the health ministry spread across several regions.

Until now, there are around 2,800 hospitals serving BPJS Health participants throughout Indonesia.
