JAKARTA - Assistant for Welfare of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Uus Kuswanto confirmed that in the near future the Provincial Government will revitalize the Tugu Stadium in North Jakarta.

The subordinates of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, said that this stadium would be used as a home base or training ground for the North Jakarta Persitara football club.

"Alhamdulillah, the governor has decided that this month, God willing, the Tugu field will be constructed in North Jakarta. This is for the Persitara homebase," said Uus at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, June 28.

Uus promised that the Tugu Stadium would immediately undergo a total revitalization in the near future. This field restoration uses the building floor coefficient (KLB) funds for buildings in Jakarta.

Uus said that the revitalization plan for the Tugu Stadium was expected to eliminate the social jealousy felt by the north Jakarta club.

Moreover, the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta is predicted by Anies to be designated as the home for Persija Jakarta.

"Because Persija may already have a place for their homebase, while there are other clubs that do exist but don't exist yet. Thank God, it's now in the process. Hopefully it can be built in the near future, so that there is no jealousy between Persitara and Persija," explained oops.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan had given the green light to Persija to make JIS in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta their main headquarters.

Anies gave his blessing to Persija while attending the exhibition match titled Trofeo Silaturahmi Jakarta at JIS, Saturday, May 7 evening.

"Today is an important day, because today the promise was paid off. The promise to build an international standard stadium that will be used as a home base for Persija and also a home base for The Jak, where we all feel for years of waiting in patience, " said Anies.

"Alhamdulillah, today starts even in a pandemic atmosphere, so the capacity that can be used is still limited," he said.
