KALTIM - Construction of the State Palace in the location of the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in the Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara (PSU) Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) has begun.

"The design of the State Palace has been completed and the tender for the physical construction has begun," said Nicko Herlambang, Head of the PSU Regency Regional Secretariat Development Section, Tuesday, June 28.

The construction of the State Palace at IKN Nusantara has been included in a project that will be auctioned at the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

According to him, the State Palace construction projects that will be auctioned off include the construction of the Presidential Office building of around Rp. 1.6 trillion, the State Palace building and the ceremonial grounds of around Rp. 1.4 trillion.

Furthermore, for construction construction management, namely the process of organizing or managing construction work, it is around Rp. 27.8 billion.

With the planned auction for the State Palace construction project, this is the first step and optimism that the development can be completed in 2024.

"The overall construction of the State Palace is targeted for completion in 2024, currently the construction of supporting roads is being carried out," he said.

The construction of the toll road in North Penajam Paser Regency as access to IKN Nusantara, he continued, was carried out in tandem with the construction of the State Palace.

The toll road to be built in the area nicknamed "Benuo Taka" is the connecting toll road from Balang Island Bridge to the Kariangau Industrial Estate.

Then, the toll road to the State Palace from VVIP airport in Gersik Village, as well as the connecting toll road between VVIP airport and Balang Island Bridge.

"It is targeted that the toll road can be used in 2024 along with the use of the State Palace," explained Nikco Herlambang.
