COVID-19 Update As Of June 28: Yesterday Was Down, Now Active Cases Are Up Again To 15,310

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 88,718 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 2,167 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,081,896 and active cases have increased by 995 to 15,310", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, June 28.

Previously, active cases of COVID-19 had dropped by 201 cases to 14,315 cases as of Monday, June 27, 2022.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,170 people, bringing the total to 5,912,025 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2 cases and totaled 156,728 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,250 cases and a total of 1,267,356 cases. Followed by West Java which has 425 new cases with a total of 1,111,322 cases. Banten has 227 new cases and a total of 296,585 cases. East Java has 109 new cases and a total of 577,862 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 718 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 115 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 104 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 77 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 100,661,561.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.35 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,822 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 201,418,060 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,900,581 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 50,220,477. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
