Scooter Service At The Grand Mosque Facilitates Tawaf And Sa'i

MEKKAH - For pilgrims who want to be more comfortable and not tired while doing tawaf and sa'i, they can use the electric scooter service available on the 3rd floor of the Grand Mosque.

According to Media Center Hajj monitoring in Mecca, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 27, there are two types of scooters, namely those with a capacity of two people and one person.

The services provided vary, pilgrims can choose to sa'i or tawaf only by paying a rental of 57.50 Saudi Arabian Riyals (SAR) for a scooter with a capacity of one person and SAR 115 for two people for two hours.

As for the tawaf and sa'i service packages, the congregation can pay SAR 115 for a scooter with a capacity of one person and SAR 230 for two.

By using these Korean-made scooters, the congregation can save sa'i time because one round can be completed in just seven minutes.

A pilgrim from Padang, Yanti, tried an electric scooter with her husband for tawaf.

"I just want to try it as a souvenir, so it's different. God willing, it's not because of illness, I'm still able to walk, I just want to feel the scooter. I like watching it on YouTube," said Yanti.

Operating the scooter is also very easy, just by pressing the lever on the right of the steering wheel to go forward and the left lever to reverse and to brake simply release the two levers.

Congregants can also adjust the speed of the electric scooter by selecting the features available on the scooter's head, namely the image of a rabbit to speed up the scooter while an image of a turtle to slow down.

However, care should be taken to stay focused while riding the scooter to control the speed and focus on the path of the scooter so as not to collide with other scooters. In addition, it is also necessary to pay attention to the signs available to ensure the round of tawaf.
