Muna Regent's Sister Detained By KPK In Bribery Case For East Kolaka PEN Application

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has determined and detained Laode Muhammad Rusdianto Emba, the younger brother of Muna Laode Regent Muhammad Rusman Emba.

This private party was arrested in connection with the bribery application for the National Economic Recovery Fund (PEN) for the East Kolaka Regency.

"The Investigative Team attempted to forcefully detain the suspect LM RE," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, June 27.

Rusdianto was detained for 20 days from 27 June to 16 July. He is being held in the KPK Rutan at Pomdam Jaya Guntur.

In this case, Rusdianto, who is a local businessman in Southeast Sulawesi, is known to have many connections with a number of officials at the regional and central government levels.

Because of this, he was then asked by the inactive East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur to take care of the application for PEN funds with a proposal of Rp350 billion.

"It is suspected that there was an agreement between LM RE and AMN, whereby if the PEN funds amounting to Rp350 billion are later disbursed, then LM RE will get several work projects in East Kolaka Regency with a value of tens of billions," said Karyoto.

In this management process, Rusdianto is suspected of actively collaborating with Sukaman Loke, who is the Head of the Muna Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency.

Not only that, he also proposed to give money to Ardian Noervianto, who is the Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Because it helped facilitate the process of proposing PEN funds, AMN through LM RE allegedly gave money in the amount of around Rp. 750 million to SL and LMSA," explained Karyoto.

As a result of his actions, Rusdianto as the giver was suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law No. Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

In this case, the KPK had previously named four other suspects. They are Andi Merya Nur who is the Regent of East Kolaka Regency for the period 2021-2026; Director General of Regional Financial Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mochamad Ardian Noervianto; Head of the Muna Laode Regency Environmental Service, M. Syukur Akbar; and Head of the Agency for Personnel and Human Resources Development of Muna Sukarman Loke Regency.
