Agam Resident Who Was Reported Missing While Looking For Avocado, Found 15 Km From A Parked Motorbike

AGAM - A joint team from the Government of Agam Regency, West Sumatra managed to find Mustika Indra (44) a resident of Surau Lua, Jorong Banda Gadang, Nagari Matua Hilia, Kecatan Matur, after 26 hours of being reported missing by his family while looking for avocados in his garden.

The head of the Agam Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Bambang Warsito, said the victim was found in Sungai Buluh, Nagari Baringin, Palembayan District, Monday (27/6) at around 11.30 WIB.

"The victim was found safe about 15 kilometers from the location of his motorbike," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 27.

He said the victim had been handed over to his family after being found.

The victim was reported missing while looking for avocados in Andaleh, Nagari Tigo Balai, Matur District on Sunday (26/6) at around 09.00 WIB.

Then the motorbike is deposited in a baruang or a sugar cane refinery. At 17.00 WIB, a buffalo owner on behalf of Pangulu feeds his cattle and reports to his family.

"Pangulu saw the motorbike and the owner was not there, so he reported it to his family," he said.

Receiving this information, the family has been trying to find the victim. At the location of the sugar cane refinery, he saw that there was a motorbike, jute and equipment to pick up avocados.

"The family has tried to do a search with the residents, but without success and then reported it to the nagari guardian and forwarded it to the Agam BPBD," he said.

For this incident, the Agam BPBD Task Force, Matur District Head, Mayor of Nagari Matua Hilia, PMI, Wali Jorong, the family and the local community are looking for victims.

"The team is looking for victims around the location of the motorcycle to other areas," said Bambang Warsito.
