KNPI Until Pancasila Youth Asks For Holywings Permit To Be Revoked, Deputy Governor Of DKI: Cannot Immediately Close

JAKARTA - A number of youth organizations such as the Indonesian Youth National Committee, the Pancasila Youth Student and Student Unit (SAPMA PP), and PDK Kosgoro visited DKI Jakarta City Hall today.

They demanded the DKI Provincial Government to give strict sanctions to Holywings due to the case of promoting alcohol for people named Muhammad and Maria. In fact, the organization received aspirations from the public who asked for Holywings' business license to be revoked.

"It is written that the revocation of this permit was based on a demand from the youth of the DKI KNPI for the inspiration of the community. It means, we departed from youth and have conveyed what has become anxiety in the public, hopefully this will be a lesson for restaurant and bar business actors," said Secretary of KNPI DKI Muhammad Akbar Supratman at Balai DKI City, Monday, June 27.

Their arrival was received by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria. To this organization, Riza explained that the DKI Provincial Government had given a sanction in the form of a written warning to Holywings.

"The DKI Provincial Government has taken steps, last June 23, we gave the first warning letter, in accordance with the existing Pergub. Since the warning was received by Holywings, they responded by apologizing, clarifying, and taking down the promotion on Instagram, " said Riza.

The gubernatorial regulation that Riza is referring to is the gubernatorial regulation number 18 of 2018 concerning the implementation of tourism businesses. Article 52 states that the company's administrative sanctions are imposed in stages, starting from the first written warning, second written warning, third written warning, temporary cessation of business activities, to the revocation of the tourism business registration mark (TDUP) accompanied by closure.

Therefore, Riza admitted that his party could not immediately impose sanctions for closing and revoking Holywings' permit before other violations were committed.

"It can't be immediately closed that day. So the provincial government is taking steps according to the rules. We understand very well that the community is asking for Holywings to be closed immediately. But to get there, steps need to be taken according to the existing governor's regulations," said Riza.

Promotion of alcoholic beverages, aka alcohol, for Muhammad and Maria, became the root of the problem that made a lot of noise until the law dragged on. Why did Muhammad and Maria become a promotional event that made many people offended because of matters of belief or specifically about religion?

"The motives of the suspects were that they created these contents to attract visitors to the Holywing outlet," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto to reporters, Friday, June 24.

"(Increasing turnover, ed) Especially in outlets whose sales percentage is below the target of 60 percent," said Budhi.

But Budhi said his party would continue to explore the statements of the suspects. Because, it is possible that there are other motives behind the creation of the controversial promotional content.

Promotion of free alcohol for Muhammad-Maria which then sparked a protest. Dozens of people from the DKI Ansor GP came to Holywings Senayan, Friday, June 24, evening. They protested while sealing Holywings due to the circulation of an e-Flyer promo for free alcoholic beverages for owners of the names Muhammad and Maria.

Now, the South Jakarta Metro Police have named 6 Holywings workers as suspects in cases of violating the ITE Law. They were found guilty after initiating, creating and distributing e-Flyers containing promos for free alcoholic beverages for owners of the names Muhammad and Maria on social media.

The Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto said that he had raised the status of the six people to become suspects, they were EJD (27), NDP (36), DAD (27), EA (22), AAB (25) and AAM. (25).
