2 Pilgrims From East Java Died In The Holy Land

SURABAYA - Two pilgrims from East Java died in the Holy Land.

The two are Fadlilah Muhaki, 62, who is part of batch 22 from Probolinggo Regency, and Samiran Mujiono Kartorejo, 64, from Surabaya from batch 10.

"They died in good health, without any symptoms of illness," said the Head of Group 9, Moh. Hudaya, in his written statement, Monday, June 27.

Hudaya said Samiran died in the lodge. In the last few days, he said, Samiran was in good health, without any complaints of illness. In fact, Samiran had time to perform Friday prayers at the mosque in front of the hotel on Friday, June 24, 2022.

After Friday prayers, Samiran also had time to eat together and joke with his roommates. "After that, he went to sleep and didn't wake up. Then his roommate became suspicious. Finally he contacted the group doctor, and after being examined, Mr. Samiran was confirmed to have died," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of PPIH Embarkation Surabaya Abdul Haris, appealed to hajj pilgrims to limit outdoor activities. He also reminded the pilgrims to drink, eat, and rest enough so that their bodies are always in good health.

"Pay close attention to his health, don't force him to always pray at the Grand Mosque if it is not healthy," he said.

So far, four pilgrims from East Java have died in the Holy Land. Their bodies were buried in the Soraya cemetery.
