JAKARTA - Commission I of the DPR hopes that President Joko Widodo will be able to carry out a mission of world peace through his visits to Ukraine and Russia in the midst of conflicts and battles that cost many lives. Member of the House of Representatives Commission I Dave Akbarshah Fikarno or Dave Laksono emphasized that President Jokowi's arrival to these countries needed to involve many parties because this was not just an ordinary or symbolic state visit. However, there is a special vision and mission that can be expected to bring stability to the world.

"The president will visit directly, both President Zelensky and President Putin, the first goal is for them to be present at the G20 or not involved. And second, it can also encourage communication so that communication and cooperation can be established by us Indonesia as a step towards world peace, " Dave told reporters on Monday, June 27.

The war between Russia and Ukraine has complicated the lives of many people around the world with high food prices, energy prices, fuel prices. All of this will have an impact on world economic stagnation and also have the potential to cause inflation in various parts of the world.

"That's why we hope that this visit will yield good results and be beneficial not only for the Indonesian people but also for the world community," said Dave. Dave assessed that the visit of the Indonesian state leadership to a conflicted country was not the first time he had done it. In the past, he said, President Suharto had visited Bosnia in the midst of the war. At that time, the Presidential Security Forces were able to secure the president's journey. In addition, President Jokowi has also visited Kabul and Paspampres is also able to handle this. "Therefore, we believe that here, the TNI in particular, Paspampres in collaboration with BIN and with other institutions can run well and without any obstacles, even beneficial for all. ," he concluded.

It is known, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to visit Ukraine and Russia. The visit was carried out for dialogue with the two conflicting heads of state. President Jokowi will first meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. After that, Jokowi will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Jokowi will leave for foreign countries on Sunday, June 26. Before going to Ukraine, Jokowi will visit Germany. Then, after meeting Vladimir Putin, Jokowi will go to the United Arab Emirates.

"After Germany, I will visit Ukraine and will meet with President Zelensky," said Jokowi.

Jokowi will invite Zelensky to have a dialogue regarding post-war peace. In addition, Jokowi also wants food supplies to be re-opened to Ukraine. "His mission is to invite the President of Ukraine to open a space for dialogue in the context of peace because the war must be stopped and those related to the food supply chain must be reactivated," he explained.

After the dialogue with Zelensky, Jokowi will fly to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

"From Ukraine, I will head to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin. Again, with the same mission I will invite President Putin to open a room for dialogue and as soon as possible to conclude a ceasefire and stop the war," he said.
