JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo is on a working visit starting today. Jokowi departed from Soekarno-Hatta Airport and will undergo a number of activities, one of which is traveling to Ukraine and Russia carrying a peace mission.

After leaving Ukraine, Jokowi will head straight to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin. "With the same mission I will call on President Putin to open a space for dialogue and as soon as possible to carry out a ceasefire and stop the war," he continued.

Then, the last agenda, Jokowi will visit the United Arab Emirates to resume discussions on economic cooperation and investment between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.

"This visit is not only important for Indonesia but also important for developing countries to prevent people from developing and low-income countries from falling into extreme poverty and hunger," said Jokowi.
