COVID-19 Update As Of June 25: 1,831 New Cases Appear, 1,045 Cases Are In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 64,500 specimens were examined with the results of 1,831 new positive cases of COVID-19.

This number is reduced compared to Friday, June 24 yesterday which recorded 2,069 new cases.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,078,725 people and active cases have increased by 754 to 13,968 cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, June 25.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,074 people, bringing the total to 5,908,043 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 3 cases and totaled 156,714 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,045 cases and a total of 1,264,213 cases. Followed by West Java with 325 new cases with a total of 1,110,394 cases. Banten with 233 new cases and a total of 295,988 cases. East Java with 95 new cases and a total of 577,608 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 710 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 116 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 87 recovered cases, and Bali and Banten each adding 44 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 100,449,034.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 4.0 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 4,417 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,350,232 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,784,174 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 49,916,092. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
