Anies Criticism Who Invites Meatball Makers At City Hall, Hasto: How Come It's Only Now? Late Meeting People

JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto commented on DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who invited meatball vendors to the 2022 Jakarta E-Prix Friendly Night at DKI City Hall, Friday night, June 24.

He questioned why Anies had just invited the meatball maker to the event. In fact, the former Minister of Education and Culture has served since 2017.

"As far as I remember, Pak Anies has been governor since 2018. So why are you only now meeting with meatball vendors," Hasto told reporters at the JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, June 25.

Hasto said that what Anies did was too late. He even said the invitation showed politics that had no roots in the people,

"So that's an example of when politics doesn't take root, so it's too late to meet the small people," he said.

As previously reported, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan held the Jakarta E-Prix 2022 Social Friendly Night at DKI Jakarta City Hall yesterday night.

A number of related parties such as the ranks of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of Formula E, the Jakarta E-Prix 2022 organizing committee, sponsors, and supporting parties were also present at the dinner.

One thing that caught his attention, Anies also invited MSME players who participated in trading in the Formula E racing event last June 4. In fact, Anies invited a meatball trader named Rully Renaldi to stand beside him at the press conference of this event.

"On my left is Mr. Rully Renaldi. Mr. Renaldi is a Bakso Bakwan Aroma SoWan entrepreneur who also participated yesterday," said Anies at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, June 24.

The meatball maker has become a hot topic lately. The reason was that PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had issued a statement that she did not want to have a son-in-law like a meatball seller.

Returning to Anies, he said that he not only invited Rully to the dinner, but also a number of other MSMEs. Meanwhile, when asked whether the invitation was related to Megawati's remarks, he did not answer.

"We invite all MSMEs, we give all of them opportunities. Well tonight there are some who are in Jakarta they are attending tonight's event," said Anies.
