200 Rooms In Palembang Hajj Dormitory Begins To Fill With Candidates For Hajj, Today From OKU Departs For Makkah Tomorrow

PALEMBANG - The Palembang Hajj Dormitory Management has started serving 450 Palembang Hajj candidates who are scheduled to leave for Makkah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, June 25 morning.

Pilgrims of the Palembang flying group (kloter) pilgrim are scheduled to fly to the Holy Land via the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Pilgrimage Embarkation Palembang.

"Today, the first batch of JCH from East Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) District is starting, to serve them more than 200 rooms have been prepared," said Palembang Hajj Dormitory Manager Achmad Yani in Palembang, South Sumatra, quoted from Antara, Friday, June 24.

The arrival of JCH OKU Timur was welcomed by the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of South Sumatra, Syafitri Irwan as the Chair of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) along with other PPIH members.

According to him, the rooms available in the Hajj hostel are more than adequate to accommodate prospective pilgrims, with a maximum of 450 people per group, because each room can accommodate four people.

To provide comfort for JCH, his party prepares dozens of officers at any time to serve these guests while in the Hajj hostel, he said.

Based on data, JCH from South Sumatra who departed through the Embarkation of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin International Airport (SMB) II Palembang reached 3,183 people.

In addition, there are also 486 hajj candidates from the neighboring province of Bangka Belitung who are scheduled to depart via the Palembang Embarkation staying at this hajj hostel.

JCH who stay overnight can take advantage of the existing ritual facilities in the Hajj hostel environment so that their preparation for worship is really maximal.

Before leaving the congregation can perform rituals together by utilizing a replica of the tawaf and sa'i paths such as the one in the Grand Mosque area, Makkah, said the manager of the Hajj hostel.

Meanwhile, the Head of Traffic and Immigration of Palembang, Adep Yoenoes, explained that his team was ready to facilitate the departure of the first batch of JCH from South Sumatra by seeking to check the immigration documents on Friday night, June 24, so that the departure was according to the set schedule.

The hundreds of prospective hajj pilgrims from the East OKU Regency, South Sumatra are scheduled to fly via Palembang's SMB II Airport to Mecca's King Abdul Aziz Airport, Saturday, June 25, at 05.35 WIB.

The team prepared a departure and return scheme for the more than 3,000 pilgrims from South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung who were divided into nine flying groups (kloters) for the second batch of JCH departures until July 2, 2022.

"Facing the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage in 2022, our team is ready to provide the best possible immigration services to facilitate the departure and return of JCH Palembang embarkation and debarkation," said Adeb.
