CILEGON – DK, a 46-year-old man, a resident of Cilangkil, Cilegon City, has become a suspect in cases of sexual abuse of minors. DK was arrested by the Cilegon Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) after the victim made a report.

"The victim's mother reported the perpetrator to the local RT and RW, then the victim's mother reported the incident to the Cilegon Police for follow-up," said Nandar.

Nandar also said that his party had secured witnesses and evidence for further investigation.

"There are a number of pieces of evidence that ensnared the suspect, because of his actions, namely the victim's clothes, the results of the post-mortem, and witness statements that strengthen the evidence." Nandar explained.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 82 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the stipulation of a government regulation in lieu of Law No. 1 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law no. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with the threat of a minimum sentence of 5 years in prison and a maximum of 15 imprisonment.
