JAKARTA - The Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) encourages tourist villages managed by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and BUMDes Bersama (BUMDesma) to provide the Nusantara Tourism Village application as a village promotion medium. He stated that there are 1,407 village tourist destinations managed by BUMDes and BUMDesma and have been registered in the archipelago tourism village application. On that occasion, Mendes PDTT also said that the partnership between BUMN and the private sector through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program with BUMDes and BUMDesma was enough to help accelerate the pace of the village economy.

"This is in line with the 17th Village SDGs goal, namely the Partnership for Village Development," he said.

According to him, CSR programs from BUMN and BUMN that touch the realm of empowering rural communities will have an impact on village progress. "CSR partnerships can be in the form of entrepreneurship training and BUMDes management, BUMDes assistance, capital support, production facilities and others," he explained.
