131 Health Workers In Maluku Have Not Received Payment For COVID-19 Handling Services In 2020

AMBON - A total of 131 health workers serving COVID-19 patients at the Maluku BPSDM field hospital in 2020 admitted that they had not received the realization of payment for COVID-19 services.

"The government has disbursed a budget of Rp. 6 billion to a holding account at the RSUD dr. Ishak Umarella Tulehu, but these health workers admit that they have not received payment for COVID-19 services," said Deputy Chairman of Commission IV of the Maluku DPRD, Ruslan Hurasan in Ambon as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 23.

Since mid-May 2022, Commission IV has held a working meeting with the Maluku Health Office and the Kadinkes promise, dr. Zulkarnaen to immediately realize the payment after the governor signed the revised Governor Regulation No. 102 of 2021.

"According to the Kadinkes promise, if the Pergub has been signed, within two days the rights of health workers will be immediately paid, but to this day it has not been realized," said Hurasan.

Therefore, Commission IV through the Maluku DPRD also asked the Governor to take firm steps and evaluate the performance in question.

"Because the Kadinkes commitment at the meeting was very optimistic and convincing, where the Pergub has been signed, it will be executed within two days," he said.

To note, the delay in payment of COVID-19 services for hundreds of health workers at the Maluku BPSDM field hospital was initially due to the Governor's Regulation Number 102 of 2021 regarding the guidelines for the distribution of field hospital services that had been signed on December 23, 2021.

The provincial health office then asked for consideration from BPKP for the Maluku Province Representative and it turned out that from the results of the considerations several notes were given and many changes had to be made, especially in article 6 relating to some percentage payments.

The Governor Regulation states that 50 percent of payments are for services and another 50 percent is for indirect services, and it turns out that the results of the BPKP study have changes of 60 percent and 40 percent so that the Governor's Regulation must be changed.
