22 Street Names Changed, DKI Dukcapil Guaranteed To Manage Residents Documents For Free

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Agency, Budi Awaluddin, said that his party is ready to serve people who will change population data as a result of changing 22 street names in DKI Jakarta with the names of Betawi figures.

As is known, the change in the street with the name of the Betawi figure, also changed the address column on the KTP, KIA, and Family Card.

Budi emphasized that there is no charge for changing the residence document. In addition, currently running services such as village-awareness adminduk services, mobile services and ball pick-up services are still running according to a set schedule.

"People no longer need to feel that managing ID cards is difficult, because we have committed that DKI Dukcapil is free and provides complete service," Budi said in his statement, Thursday, June 23.

Budi also asked the public to report if the agency he leads practices extortion in serving the conversion or making of the population document.

"We will not hesitate to take firm action for officers who still use the old method. This is part of our commitment to the community in providing fast, accurate and complete services," said Budi.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan had inaugurated the change of 22 street names in DKI Jakarta with the names of Betawi figures. The use of the name of the Betawi figures is an appreciation of the role of these figures in the journey of the City of Jakarta.

Anies claimed that changing the names of 22 streets in the capital city would not burden Jakarta residents. Because, he said, all road changes have been coordinated with parties related to population data in Jakarta.
