Failed Selection Of Members Of Komnas HAM, Kadivkum Polri Is Considered Not To Delve Into Human Rights Cases

JAKARTA - The Head of the Legal Division (Kadivkum) of the National Police, Inspector General Pol. Remigius Sigid Tri Hardjanto failed at the selection stage for candidates for members of the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) for the 2022-2027 period.

"The weakness of the participants who failed was the depth of human rights issues and cases," said the Chair of the Committee for Candidates for Komnas HAM members for the 2022-2027 period, Prof. Makarim Wibisono when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday, June 23.

Makarim said the panel team's assessment was not only focused on one candidate, but was comprehensive because the panel assessed the extent of each candidate's ability to answer each question.

In general, Makarim said, the panel considered the committee by gathering all information, including views or assessments of the abilities and interactions of the candidates.

"So, we consider all things," he said.

He said the selection system is open and accountable. In fact, the Pansel also held a public dialogue so that input from the community could be heard immediately.

The Committee for Candidate Members of the National Human Rights Commission for the period 2022-2027 announced that only 27 names out of 50 participants had passed the public dialogue selection on 8-9 June 2022.

The names are A. Pradjasto Hardojo, Abdul Haris Semendawai, Amiruddin Al Rahab, Anis Hidayah, Anne Friday Safaria, Atnike Nova Sigiro, Bahrain, Beka Ulung Hapsara, Chrisbiantoro, and Danielle Johanna PS

Next, Dedi Haryadi, Hairansyah, Hari Kurniawan, Imran, Irianto Subiakto, Maria Rita Ida Suhagian, Munafrizal Manan, Prabianto Mukti Wibowo, Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi, Putu Elvina, Rafendi Djamin, Rita Serena Kolibonso, Saurlin P. Pujianto, Nugroho, Uli Parulian Sihombing, and Yogi Sumarsono Wibowo.

Furthermore, the applicants who pass will take part in a psychological test which will be held on 29-30 June 2022 with a face-to-face (offline) method in Jakarta.
