JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) will present the results of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) which has been held since Tuesday, June 21.

Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto said that a number of recommendations have been produced which will be read out today, Thursday, June 23.

"Last night, the steering committee team completed the recommendations. So the series will start at 13.00 WIB by presenting the results of the commission session," Hasto told reporters at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Thursday, June 23.

"Then at 14.00 WIB, the second national working meeting will be closed, preceded by the reading of external recommendations. Quite a few have been recommended," he added.

After reading the recommendations, Hasto said PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri was scheduled to close the meeting.

"Then, the closing speech of the second Rakernas by the General Chair, Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the recommendations for the names of PDIP presidential and vice presidential candidates, Hasto said Megawati would wait for the momentum. However, he mentioned that the National Working Meeting held by his party often contained an element of surprise at the end.

For example, continued Hasto, when Megawati expressed her support for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as the incumbent candidate at the 2018 National Working Meeting.

"It shows how apart from doing careful calculations, Mrs. Mega also often shows something that is surprising in nature, there is an element of surprise that is displayed by her," he said.

"Because the prerogative lies with the General Chair, of course all the careful calculations are in her hands," concluded Hasto.
