General Dudung Visits The House Of An Army Soldier Who Dies During A Shooting Practice

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman and General Chairperson of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, Rahma visited the house of the late Peltu Saparlan in Rejowinangun, Magelang Regency, Central Java.

Peltu Saparlan was the best soldier of the Indonesian Army who died while participating in an 81 mortar shooting exercise at the Setrojenar Beach Shooting Range at Bulus Pesantren, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, on June 8, 2022.

Antara quoted the Army Information Service (Dispenad), explaining that General Dudung prayed for the family of Peltu Saparlan to be given patience, health, and success.

Dudung kept in touch and prayed and provided food packages and compensation to his wife and three children of Peltu Saparlan.

Previously, the sad news regarding Peltu Saparlan was conveyed by the Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Tatang Subarna in a written statement, Thursday (9/6).

"The TNI AD and the entire extended family express deep condolences for the death of the late Peltu Saparlan," said Tatang.

The accident occurred during mortar shooting practice. The accident also caused the TNI AD soldier to die.

The visit to the house of Peltu Saparlan was carried out by Dudung on the sidelines of his working visit in Central Java.

During a working visit to the Central Java region, Dudung carried out various activities, including inaugurating the Military District Command Headquarters (Makodim) 0709/Kebumen and the Army General Sudirman Football Field in Cilacap, Central Java, Tuesday (21/6).

Furthermore, Dudung is scheduled to open and give a briefing at the 2022 Unit Commander Conference at the Magelang Military Academy (Akmil) on 23-24 June 2022.

During the visit to the Peltu Saparlan house, Dudung was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Wakasad) Maj. Gen. Agus Subiyanto and Governor of Akmil TNI Major General Legowo WR Jatmiko.

Then there was the Military Commander IV/Diponegoro Maj. Gen. Widi Prasetijono, Danpussenif Lt. Gen. Arief Rahman, Aspers. Kasad Maj. Gen. Darmono Susastro, Aslog Kasad Maj. Gen. Saiful Rachiman, and Aster. Kasad Major General TNI Karmin Suharna.
