Poltracking: Eri Cahyadi's High Electability For East Java Pilgub 2024

SURABAYA - The Indonesian Poltracking survey agency explained that the electability of the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, was high enough to become one of the names worthy of being promoted in the 2024 East Java Regional Head Election.

"Based on the survey results, Eri Cahyadi has high electability, both for the position of candidates for governor and deputy governor," said Research Director of Poltracking Indonesia Arya Budi in a written press statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 22.

Based on the results of a survey that specifically photographed the East Java region in the period 16-22 May 2022, the name Eri Cahyadi overtook the names that were already popular.

For the governor candidate, Eri Cahyadi's name is in the third position behind Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Tri Rismaharini.

After Eri, the names of Emil Elestianto Dardak, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), Abdul Halim Iskandar, and a number of other regional heads in East Java were followed.

"For Mrs. Khofifah the electability is 39.8 percent. Then Mrs. Risma 19.5 percent, Mas Eri Cahyadi 9.6 percent, Mas Emil 9.2 percent, Gus Ipul 5.8 percent, Abdul Halim Iskandar 1.1 percent. Then there are the names of other figures in East Java are below 1 percent," he said.

For the electability of the candidate for Deputy Governor of East Java, the highest was Emil Elestianto Dardak with 28.0 percent, followed by Eri Cahyadi with 13.2 percent.

Under Emil and Eri, there are a number of figures including the chairman of Golkar in East Java Sarmuji 3.4 percent, the Regent of Lumajang Thoriqul Haq 3.1 percent, Member of the DPR RI Bambang DH 3.1 percent, Chairman of Gerindra East Java Anwar Sadad 3.1 percent, former Banyuwangi Regent Azwar Anas 2.7 percent, and DPR member Said Abdullah 2 percent.

Meanwhile, the survey conducted in East Java was conducted from May 16, 2022 to May 22, 2022 with a total sample of 1,000 respondents. There is also a margin of error of approximately 3.2 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.
