After 'Bungkus Night' Case, Hamilton Spa's License Revoked!

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has officially revoked the business license for Hamilton Spa and Massage, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. This is stated in the Decree of the Head of the Investment Management Unit and One Stop Services in Kebayoran Baru District Number e-0445/TM.21.59.

The revocation of the tourism business registration mark (TDUP) refers to the recommendation of the DKI Tourism and Creative Economy Office (Disparekraf).

The permanent closure of Hamilton Spa and Massage is the aftermath of a prostitution party themed Bungkus Night which is currently being investigated by the police. This was confirmed by the Head of DKI Satpol PP, Arifin.

"Referring to the provisions of Pergub No. 18/2018, the sanctions that can be imposed are permanent closure and revocation of permits," said Arifin when contacted, Wednesday, June 22.

Currently, Arifin admitted that he was waiting for the submission of the letter of TDUP revocation. If the letter has been received, the Satpol PP will move to permanently close Hamilton Spa and Massage.

"Regarding the violation that occurred in Hamilton, later from the letter we will take action in the form of a permanent closure," said Arifin.

Arifin also reminded the owners of massage parlors, in running their business, they must be according to their designation, not a place for prostitution. If this happens, he continued, then his party will take firm action as experienced by Hamilton.

"We remind all managers of places, cafes, spas, that they must comply with the provisions. There should be no activities that carry out immoral acts. What is clear, strict action will be imposed with the provisions of the regional regulation," he said.

Initially, the event went viral on social media with the theme 'Bungkus Night Vol.2'. According to the leaflet circulating, the event will be held at Hamillton Spa & Massage, Ruko Grand Wijaya Blok H24, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta on June 24, 2022 starting at 19.00 WIB.

The police investigated it. In this case, the police have named five suspects who planned the paid sexual transaction. They were charged with Article 27 of the ITE Law and Article 45 regarding decency and pornography.

The suspects include the operational director, regional manager, the creative team of content creators on social media, and the uploader of the Bungkus Night advertisement.
