SEMARANG - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto gave an ultimatum to his staff to stay away from illegal levies (extortion). Sanctions of dismissal threaten the head of the land office if extortion occurs.

This was conveyed by Hadi after giving a private briefing to officials in the Central Java ATR/BPN offices in Semarang, Central Java, Wednesday, June 22. He ordered professionals to serve and be transparent without extortion, including in the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program.

"This should be noted, the officers did not serve well, the officers (proven) committed extortion, I did not hesitate to remove the head of the land office!" he said.

Hadi appealed to the community to take care of land ownership certificates independently by fulfilling predetermined requirements, and not relying on middlemen.

"This is so that the people are calm, there is no extortion, nothing makes it difficult. I have ordered everyone to be ready to serve the community," he continued.

According to him, the transfer of name certificates can be handled by the community themselves by coming to the ATR/BPN office and bringing the requirements in accordance with the required files.

"Go straight to the priority counter, where the officers will serve well. I have ordered all to be ready to serve the community, there is no extortion and it is carried out as well as possible," said the former TNI Commander.

Hadi, who has only been inaugurated for a few days as Minister of ATR/BPN, also asked the ranks of the Central Java Province ATR/BPN Regional Office to accelerate the management of PTSL so as to achieve the target.

"In Central Java, there is less than 28 percent (of the 4 million land parcels targeted for completion by 2024) for PTSL completion. At the end of 2023, I ask the Regional Head of Regional Office in Central Java to complete everything," he said.

In the process of calculating the fields in PTSL in the measurement until the handover of the certificate of ownership, there is a fee of Rp. 150 thousand which has been determined through a Joint Decree of 3 Ministers.
