Gerindra's 'CLBK' Opportunity When PKS Calls Not Kapok Coalition

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party has opened up another opportunity for a coalition with the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) after stating that it will not give up collaborating with the party created by Prabowo Subianto. The Gerindra and PKS 'CLBK' opportunity was revealed by the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

Dasco said Gerindra opened the door to the coalition with PKS as wide as possible. According to him, the opportunity to form a coalition with the party led by Ahmad Syaikhu is not impossible.

As Dasco said, there is currently no serious discussion on the political map for the year 2024.

"Yes, I think the coalition (with PKS) is not impossible. A coalition with parties is still open as long as it has not been registered with the KPU," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Tuesday, June 21.

Dasco said the Gerindra Party also opened the door to coalitions for other political parties such as PKB. The reason is that the political dynamics so far are still very fluid, especially regarding the 2024 presidential election.

"We also open the door as wide as possible to cooperate between parties, after yesterday we made an understanding and cooperation to jointly face the General Election with PKB," he said. In addition to the PKB, added the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Gerindra is also exploring cooperation with other political parties for the 2024 Election. "We also open up opportunities for other parties so that we can work together to face the General Election, Pilleg, Presidential Election and Regional Election, ' said Dasco.

Previously, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) admitted that it would not give up on a coalition with the Gerindra Party even though it had been 'injured' when supporting Prabowo Subianto to fight against Joko Widodo in the 2019 general election. In fact, they have been close friends since the 2014 election.

PKS revealed the reason why the party chaired by Ahmad Syaikhu was not deterred even though it was betrayed by Prabowo, who later chose to join the Jokowi government coalition. In fact, at that time PKS totally supported the general chairman of Gerindra but instead abandoned it.

The reason is because PKS is not 'baperan'. This was said by the Deputy Chair of the PKS Syuro Council Sohibul Iman in response to the invitation to join the Greater Indonesia Awakening (KIR) coalition initiated by PKB and Gerindra.

"The issue of giving up or not, I think in politics, there is no giving up. Don't worry, if politics is mixed up, it's difficult," said Sohibul Iman on the sidelines of the PKS National Meeting at Grand Sahid Jakarta, Monday, June 20. According to the former PKS President, political dynamics must be faced with an open heart, even though the previous collaboration was disappointing. Who knows, said Sohibul, in the next collaboration it will actually be happy.

If the party continues to bring feelings, let alone disappointment, said Sohibul, then it is better not to have to do politics. "Politics, maybe today is disappointing, who knows one day we still have a need with certain parties. So, it is not known to be baper in politics. If you are mixed, don't get involved in politics," he said.
