Anies Leads Jakarta City's 495th Anniversary Ceremony, Attended By 1,000 Participants

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a ceremony to commemorate the 495th anniversary of the City of Jakarta at the Plaza Selatan National Monument (Monas) on Wednesday, June 22 this morning. The Jakarta Anniversary commemoration ceremony was led by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as the ceremony inspector.

The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria, officials of the regional work unit (SKPD), and officials of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda).

A number of representatives of DKI Provincial Government employees from various SKPDs, colorful troops, Abang None throughout Jakarta, to representatives of the TNI-Pori participated in the ceremony with a membership of up to 1,000 people.

Furthermore, at 09.00 WIB, the DKI Jakarta DPRD will hold a special plenary session to commemorate the 495th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta.

The plenary meeting which will be held at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, will be attended by all members of the council and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

After the plenary session, Anies Baswedan will hold a working meeting of the Governor in the Greater Jakarta area at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta.

Then, the DKI Provincial Government also held a reception night for the 495th Jakarta Celebration at the Balairung, DKI Jakarta City Hall.

This year, the DKI Provincial Government uses the name Jakarta Hajatan to commemorate the anniversary of DKI. This year's theme is "Celebrate Jakarta: Collaboration, Acceleration, and Elevation". Various series of activities will be held from May 24 to June 26, 2022.
