Asked About The Opportunity For Cooperation With Gerindra-PKB, Puan Maharani Answered Diplomatically

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Puan Maharani said it was possible to cooperate with other political parties in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), including with the Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB).

"Yes, it is possible (to cooperate, ed)," said Puan to reporters at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 21.

Puan said that this possibility is open, especially since PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri has said that efforts to build a nation cannot be done alone.

The same thing, he continued, was also conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "Earlier, the chairwoman said that building Indonesia cannot be done alone. We have to work together. The President also said that we should be able to help build Indonesia," he stressed.

Thus, PDIP opens up opportunities to work with anyone. Moreover, political communication has been established.

"Since now political communication has been carried out and in the DPR we always build political communication. In political parties (we, ed) also build communication," said the chairman of the DPR RI.

Meanwhile, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said his party would later go around to meet other political parties.

However, he did not specify when exactly the political safari would take place. The same applies to which parties will be visited. "After the National Working Meeting, we will go around," said Hasto.
