JAKARTA - The Tasikmalaya Police are hunting for the robbers who acted at the Tasikmalaya Regency Education Office (Disdik), West Java. The robbers took Rp27 million in cash, a laptop, and three cell phones.

"Rp 27 million, one laptop and three cellphones were taken away by the robbers on Monday (20/6) early in the morning. The perpetrators are still being chased," said Head of Criminal Investigation at the Tasikmalaya Police, AKP Dian Pornomo, Tuesday, June 21, as reported by Antara.

The police have processed the crime scene (TKP) after receiving a robbery report at the Tasikmalaya District Education Office, Monday (20/6) early morning.

Currently, the police are still conducting investigations related to the robbery case by collecting evidence in the field and witness statements.

"We're still investigating later," he said.

Head of the Education and Culture Office of Tasikmalaya Regency, Iin Aminudin, said the robbers took money from the safe which was planned to be used to pay taxes.

Regarding services at the Tasikmalaya District Education Office, he said, it was still running in the Disdik SKB room so that the agenda for official activities could still be carried out.

"The service is still running because we provide it in the SKB room," he said.

Previously, a group of robbers entered the Tasikmalaya District Education Office on Monday (20/6) at around 01.30 WIB, then arrested a security guard and two cleaners who were on duty by being tied up and covering their mouths with duct tape.

The victim's witness was finally able to escape after the robber left the office.
