Anies Says Happy Birthday To Jokowi, Uploads Photo During Formula E

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan wished President Joko Widodo a happy birthday. Today, Jokowi turns 61 years old.

On his Instagram account, Anies uploaded a photo of himself and Jokowi sitting next to each other, watching the Formula E event together in Ancol on Saturday, June 4.

"Happy birthday to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ir. H. Joko Widodo. May Mr. Jokowi always be blessed with health and ease in carrying out his mandate, and God willing, always in the protection of Allah SWT," said Anies in his social media account, Tuesday, June 21.

Not only Anies, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria also wished the former Governor of DKI Jakarta a happy birthday.

"We pray for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. @jokowi and the entire family, a long life, always healthy in the service of the Republic of Indonesia, forever protected by Allah SWT. Allahumma amiiin. Happy 61st birthday, sir," said the arizapatria account.

Today, Jokowi received a surprise from the Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri. This moment occurred when Jokowi was present at the PDIP II National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta.

After Megawati delivered her remarks, two cones were brought into the room. While the cone was brought in, one of the PDIP cadres, Krisdayanti, sang the Happy Birthday song popularized by Jamrud.

Then, Jokowi cut and gave the first piece of cone to Megawati. Next, Megawati also did the same thing.

When giving a speech, Jokowi said that this was the first time he was given a surprise. Because, all this time he admitted that he never celebrated his birthday.

"I want to say thank you, I have never celebrated a birthday like this in my life," said Jokowi, which was greeted with applause from the PDIP National Working Meeting participants.

"But we also know that today is Bung Karno's haul, June 21. Thank you, Mrs. Mega, for the tumpengan we just made," he added.
