JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the Propam Division will assess AKBP Raden Brotoseno to determine whether or not he will be temporarily dismissed.
The statement was in response to Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) which suggested AKBP Raden Brotoseno to be suspended until the Review process (PK) was completed.
"Propam does not have Karo Wabprof. Later, if Karo Wabprof does the assessment, will it be done like that or continue (on duty) until the PK process takes place," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday, June 21.
For now, AKBP Raden Brotoseno is still on duty. He was placed in the ICT Division of the Police as a staff.
Apart from that, Dedi stated that he received input from ICW. In fact, the input will be taken into consideration in taking the next step or decision regarding Brotoseno.
"All suggestions will be accommodated and accepted," said Dedi.
ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana asked the National Police Chief to temporarily suspend AKBP Brotoseno. The goal is that prisoners in corruption cases can focus on facing ethical trials.
"Considering that the review process until the final decision takes quite a long time, ICW asks the National Police Chief to temporarily suspend Brotoseno from his position," said Kurnia.
The request is in line with the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission is officially promulgated.
