KALBAR - BPJS Kesehatan Pontianak Branch is intensifying the socialization of the Phased Payment Plan (Rehab) program for participants who are in arrears in contributions.

"We launched this Rehab program to make it easier for participants who are in arrears to make payments," said Head of BPJS Kesehatan Pontianak Branch Adiwan Qodar in Pontianak, West Kalimantan (Kalbar), quoted from Antara, Monday, June 20.

Regarding this, he said, participants who have BPJS Health contributions in arrears need not worry because now payments can be made in installments.

Adiwan explained, Rehab is a program that provides relief and convenience for participants. Specifically for the non-wage worker segment (PBPU) and non-employee participants (BP) who have arrears in contributions, they can pay their contributions in stages.

"This rehabilitation is carried out to increase the Ability to Pay (ATP) of non-wage workers (PBPU), especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, increase PBPU activity and reduce the number of PBPUs that are more than 3 months in arrears (4 to 24 months)," he said.

According to him, to get this program, BPJS Health participants can immediately pay off arrears by registering via mobile JKN or calling the call center 165.

Participants can register until the 28th of the current month except for February where registration is up to the 27th. And the maximum Rehab period is 12 stages and is adjusted to the number of months in arrears.

The JKN-KIS program provides protection for oneself, family and others to get health insurance certainty. So that it is expected to increase productivity and welfare.

"With the principle of gotong royong in the JKN-KIS program, every healthy participant works together to help sick participants by being obedient to paying dues on time and maintaining health. Fostering concern for others, especially those who are suffering from illness," he said.

According to him, the BPJS Health Rehab program will be an option for people who are in arrears, although he hopes that BPJS Health participants will not be in arrears because if they are in arrears and are paid together at the same time, it will burden BPJS Health participants to pay them.

"So the solution is indeed we hope that the payment of dues is carried out regularly every month so that it feels light, because if it has been piled up for more than 3 months or waiting for more than 3 months, it will be difficult to pay the arrears," he said.
