Holding National Work Meeting On June 21-23, Secretary General Hasto Says PDIP Cadres Will Discuss Strategic Matters

JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) will hold a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) on June 21-23. It is planned that the activity will be opened by the Chairperson of PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will give a speech.

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said the National Working Meeting would be held at the PDIP DPP Party School Building, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta with the theme 'Strong Village, Advanced and Sovereign Indonesia'.

"This Rakernas is actually back from the previous schedule which should have been held last year. The Rakernas has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia and the world, and is waiting for the approval of the General Election Commission (KPU) stage," Hasto said in a written statement, Monday, June 20. .

Hasto said the implementation of the National Working Meeting uses a hybrid method. "So representatives of the main management who are present in Jakarta, only the chairman, secretary and treasurer of the party DPD, while other regional administrators at every level, can follow online at the opening and closing of the National Working Meeting," he said.

In this meeting, continued Hasto, a number of things were discussed. One of them is related to the party's strategy going forward.

"Most of the events are closed, considering that what is discussed is strategic matters related to the future of the nation," he said.

"Thus, a quiet and contemplative atmosphere is needed. The place is deliberately chosen at the party school because it is only through party regeneration that the candidate for leader is trained before being assigned to the field," added Hasto.

The series of events will take place from today or Monday night, June 20, starting with the registration process. In addition, there will be Tahlil and Gema Sholawat Cinta Tanah Air and Haul Bung Karno 2022 at the At-Taufiq Mosque, Jakarta.

Meanwhile, during the National Working Meeting, the DPP DPIP divided the invitees and participants into three groups. The Main Hall on the second floor of the Party School will be filled with President Jokowi, DPP functionaries, chairmen and secretaries of DPD throughout Indonesia, as well as governors and ministers of party cadres. In total there will be 98 people in the room.

The second group in the first floor class II room was filled with the Treasurer of the DPD Party throughout Indonesia with a total of 34 participants. The third group of the first-floor classrooms filled with Faction Leaders, Commissions, and Heads of Poxy I-XI Factions, Heads of Agencies, and Heads of the Party's Central Fighting Community.

"The opening of the hybrid National Working Meeting was attended by all DPCs, PACs, Branches and Subsidiaries throughout Indonesia," he concluded.
